So, today we have one of our collective birthday parties for Chuck and me, John and Lisa – and as so many times, we were not involved in the decision making. They set the date to 10/3, and we discussed it in a Facebook message to decide whether we have the party at Mary’s place or at a restaurant and the next thing I know, I have a separate FB message telling me it is Saturday at 5.30pm at Jeanne’s place. Hum, that’s a 45 minute to an hour drive for us, their place is about as far away as it gets for us. But who cares, it’s only our birthday.

I asked for CostCo cake and apparently we are the only ones with a CC card so Chuck just picked it up, Chocolate/Chocolate with Strawberry mousse. Seems like I am not the only person who’s in love with CostCo cake – it is so awesome!

Anyway, I’ll get over it. I am just a little peeved that decisions like that are always made without consulting us, especially when it is my own birthday party. Be considerate, pick a central location – I hate to have to drive out into the boondacks, where we are in the car almost as long as at the party!
