Best Night Ever, Tre Cugini!

After the exiting release of ColorChecker Passport that gave me sleepless nights and stressed days aplenty, we had a little get together last night at Tre Cugini, maybe 15 people. Guest of Honor was Chris Halford, who came over from Boston. I had met him before, maybe 6 or 7 years ago even before he was with X-Rite, and since we had emailed back and forth quite a bit during this, I was really looking forward to meeting him again.

Chuck dropped me off on Monroe at the same time as Chris and Art arrived. Our group had a private room upstairs. Food was great, and a few red and white wines were offered. I picked a lighter Italian red and sat down with Chris and a couple of people joined us. I had been so skeptical of going because I didn’t really know anyone there, but it was so awesome – we had so much fun and it was a great group, the last 7 of us. It was me, Chris, Art, guy whose name I don’t know, Bob, Mark and Rachel. The waiters kept refilling our glass the whole night – boy did I lose track. Usually, when you drink wine, it doesn’t happen – generally you have a limited amount at hand and then you see empty bottles. In the end, I didn’t even want to leave but thank God Chuck made me go! It was about time, aside from being Midnight I really had enough wine :-)

I feel asleep immediately in the car and then went to bed immediately (after one weird Facebook wall post). Boy, did I know it this morning – I slept in, moved to the couch, slept some more, had a doughnut, slept some more, had a pb&j, slept some more. Around 7 pm, I guess I was back to good and decided to have breakfast, eggs, toast, bacon….

Now in the basement, watching Bones, Cougar Town and whatever is up next.
